In general this is not something that should need to be done.  Intwine's Logistics Experts will generally ship systems pre-configured, activated, and tested.  However, there are cases where a change of cellular APN is required (for example you converted from a dynamic IP to a static IP).  For those cases, please use this article.  If you still need help, don't hesitate to reach out to us!


There are two primary methods to change any setting on the ICG-550.  You can either use the Star Portal or you can use the local webapp.  Typically the Star Portal is easier, but many times you will need to use the local webapp because APN changes will result in the device not being able to connect to the Internet.  Therefore this article will assume that you are connecting locally.

  1. Using a PC, tablet, or other computer connect to the local webapp of the ICG-550.  (Need help?)
  2. Once you are successfully logged in, click on the Internet link on the left side of the page.  You will see the following
  3. Depending on what service you have, you will see either one or two Cellular SIMs in the top section of the page.  In the above image, the system has a single SIM card.
  4. Click the Edit link next to the SIM you want to modify to bring up the Edit Cellular window
  5. Here you can modify the APN by changing the text in the box.  We HIGHLY recommend that you do not change ANY of the other settings and they can easily cause you to have connectivity problems.
  6. Once the APN is set correctly, press the Save button.
